At Saunders House, we always welcome new volunteers who want to share their time and talents.

Saunders House volunteers bring a fresh energy and enthusiasm into our home. Volunteers make room amidst their busy schedules because of the satisfaction they gain from helping brighten Saunders House residents’ days. Their impact is immeasurable.

The only prerequisite for becoming a Saunders House volunteer is a caring attitude and a willingness to help. No particular experience is required, and you will be given the orientation and proper training you need to do your job.

You can help by…

• Transporting residents to programs
• Playing card and board games with our residents
• Visiting with residents one-on-one
• Providing musical entertainment
• Assisting with small group activities
• Delivering mail, gifts, and flowers to residents
• Performing office/clerical work
• Reading to residents with visual impairments
• Bringing in your friendly, calm, and gentle pet to visit residents
  

We also welcome small groups of volunteers ranging from school service clubs to companies reaching out to the community.
