Saunders House currently has close to 300 full- and part-time staff members who are committed to serving the residents of Sanders House. Our professional staff includes nurses, social workers, therapeutic recreation specialists and dietary specialists. We also have a dedicated team of dining services, administrative, and environmental services staff. Our staff is supported by a medical director who specializes in geriatrics, as well as by a team of occupational, physical, and speech therapists.

Registered Nurse (RN) All Shifts

Saunders House is currently seeking dedicated and caring RNs to join our team.  Full-time, part-time and pool positions are available most shifts.  Our Registered Nurses (RN) are responsible for providing direct nursing care to our residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and nursing assistants in accordance with current, federal, and local standards governing the facility.  He/she is responsible for ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Qualifications  

  1. Education and/or Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required
  • Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a Registered Nurse required
  1. Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge base of nursing practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and standards required, particularly as they relate to long-term care, assisted living, and/or sub-acute rehabilitation facilities
  • Must understand and act upon complex issues and problems and must communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people
  • Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills required
  • Effective leadership and management skills required 

 


 

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) All Shifts

Saunders House is currently seeking dedicated and caring LPNs to join our team.  Full-time, part-time and pool positions are available most shifts.  Our LPNs are responsible for operating in accordance with established Nursing Department policies and procedures, applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations, assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing care to a specific group of residents on a designated unit.

Qualifications  

  1. Education and/or Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required
  • Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as an LPN required
  1. Skills and Abilities

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) All Shifts

Saunders House is currently seeking dedicated and caring CNAs to join our team.  Full-time, part-time and pool positions are available most shifts.  The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) reports to the Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, or Unit Manager at Saunders House.  The Nursing Assistant is responsible for operating in accordance with established Nursing Department policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations.  He/she will provide direct nursing care to a specific group of residents on a designated unit and functions as a member of the patient care team.

Qualifications  

  1. Education and/or Experience
  • Nursing Assistant with current and valid Pennsylvania Notice of Enrollment with Nurse Aide registry required
  1. Skills and Abilities
  • Must have effective coordination and organization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency required
